Job Description and Responsibilities
Interactive Brokers Group is expanding the technical Projects Team in our London office. We are searching for a junior level programmer with a strong interest in applying their skills to solving real business problems. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable technical background which they are keen to build on while gaining direct exposure to a strong, growing business.
A Junior Developer working with an existing Senior Developer in London as part of the wider Projects Team. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of an early stage Python web app, business reporting systems, and providing technical expertise/support/resource on a wide range of projects. The candidate will be expected to quickly gain an understanding of the business we operate in and be able to analyse existing systems and processes to define and implement technical solutions to deliver measurable impact to the business. This role requires a flexible person who is able to pick up and adapt to working with new technologies and systems.
- Act as technical resource to support the Projects Team and deliver meaningful change to the business.
Build relationships with global network of developers to make use of existing tools and infrastructure.
- Work with operational departments to analyse systems/processes and define technical solutions.
- Profound knowledge of Python, SQL and Linux
Strong analytical problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Python web frameworks (Flask/Django)
- Exposure to modern development tools (Git, Jenkins etc)
